Beauty Blogging
That's how this page started out. It's platform if you will. I was getting quite depressed for a while a year or two ago with my image so I began to delve into the wide world of cosmetics. However I wasn't content with what was available at my local store. I wanted more information. I wanted guidance. I wanted better value for my money. So I hit the interwebs and discovered the blogging community. Swatches, reviews & tutorials galore. Not only am I making better informed decisions about the products I purchase, I no longer feel like I'm wondering aimlessly down aisles at a loss as to what is right for me.
This got me thinking though. If other bloggers have helped me, maybe I could do the same thing. Perhaps what I've learnt and found might be helpful to others. I set out to make my own blog and fill it with things I thought the Beauty Community could benefit from. I do like to focus on swatches. If I'm incredibly picky about foundation shades, lipstick colors or nail polish finishes then I'm certain there are hundreds of thousands of people out there who are exactly the same.
Equipment
Macbook Pro 13inch Laptop & iPhone 5S. I would love to own a fancy camera but I haven't gotten around to buying one. My laptop is on rent to buy and my mobile is on a plan as it is. I'm a fairly low budget person. When I do get a camera it will be on rent to buy and I'll probably replace my laptop while I'm at it. Whenever I'm down about owning cheap things I just think "These are the training wheels to bigger & better things". Cheaper things are not necessarily bad, especially when it comes to cosmetics but I do want to show better quality images on my blog in the future.
Gidget Cooper
The alias originated from my childhood nickname Gidget. When I was younger my mother likened me to the TV Movie Starlet Gidget. I was tomboy'ish but also clumsy. She rarely calls me Gidget anymore but it inspired my online alias. I've used it on emails, user names and anything else under the sun. When I decided to polish it up I discovered the TV Movie inspiration never had a last name mentioned. However the last name of the characters father is Cooper which lead the installation of my unique two part alias that I use today.
